terms
the terms, in plain english.
last updated 5 july 2026
these are the terms for using unsend. no dense legal wall, just the things that are actually true and that you should know before you rely on it. by using unsend you're agreeing to them.
this is not therapy or crisis care
unsend is a self-guided writing tool. it is not therapy, not counselling, not medical advice, and not a crisis service. the replies come from an ai, not a clinician. it can sit with you while you write, but it cannot treat you and it is not a substitute for professional help.
if you are in danger or in crisis, please reach a real person now: 988 in the US, or Lifeline on 13 11 14 in Australia. those lines are staffed by people trained for exactly this.
who can use it
you need to be 18 or older to use unsend. it deals with heavy, adult emotional territory and it is not built for minors.
using it fairly
please don't use unsend to:
- threaten, harass, or plan harm to another person or yourself,
- break the law or get others to,
- attack, scrape, overload or reverse-engineer the service, or resell it as your own.
it's your space to be honest, including ugly-honest. that's the point. the lines above are about real-world harm, not about the raw feelings you come here to put down.
membership and billing
the free inbox stays free: three replies a day and the panic button, with no card. membership unlocks unlimited replies. the 30-day program, panic button and crisis lines stay free for everyone. it's billed through Stripe, our payment processor, as a recurring subscription that renews automatically at the price and interval shown when you sign up, until you cancel.
you can cancel any time and see how in the refunds and cancellation page. prices are in US dollars.
what we can and can't promise
we work hard to keep unsend running and to make the replies genuinely helpful, but we can't promise the service will be perfect, uninterrupted, or right for every moment. it's provided as-is.
to the extent the law allows, unsend and its operator aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses that come from using or relying on the service, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Australian consumer law that can't be excluded.
the rest
we may update these terms as the product grows; if we change something that matters, the "last updated" date at the top will move and material changes will be made clear. these terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
unsend is operated by DYZR, an independent studio based in Australia. questions? email unsend@dyzr.io.
